In the case of the U.K., utility bills have been driving high due to the energy crisis. Energy efficiency is often measured in terms of a building’s performance on the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), with buildings that score C or above on the EPC rating will qualify for lower interest rates in PropCap’s Green Mortgage scheme.

Asian buyers mostly focus on property type, location and rental market when investing in overseas property. However, environmental and sustainability issues start to become one of those key considerations.
